Proximity access control systems readers are the most popular choice for commercial access control systems. They are easy to use, and when cards are lost, it’s easy to deactivate them and post new cards. They can also be combined with photo IDs for added security. Close-range cards are the most common and can operate from one inch to three feet from the sensor. Because there is no contact between the card and the card reader, they are very reliable and hard to wear. They are also very cheap.
